We’re looking for an inspiring Store Manager to lead one of our Central London stores. This is more than managing a retail store , it’s about leading a business! Lead People. Drive Performance. Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping both your team’s success and the customer experience. What You’ll Be Responsible For People
Recruit, coach and develop a high‐performing team. Create a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide regular coaching, feedback and performance conversations. Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning. Foster an inclusive workplace where every colleague can grow and succeed. Lead by example, inspiring your team through your energy, passion and standards.
Commerciality Take full accountability for sales, productivity and profitability. Analyse KPIs and trading reports to identify opportunities and drive action plans. Deliver exceptional customer experiences that build loyalty and increase sales. Maximise stock availability while maintaining healthy inventory levels. Execute seasonal launches, campaigns and promotional events to the highest standard. Understand your local market and identify opportunities to grow your business.
Operations Deliver outstanding operational standards across all areas of the business. Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal requirements and Health & Safety standards. Maintain excellent stock accuracy and loss prevention. Lead effective planning, scheduling and resource management. Ensure visual merchandising and store presentation consistently reflect MUJI’s standards. Create a seamless shopping experience through disciplined execution and attention to detail.
What We’re Looking For You’ll be an experienced retail leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with commercial thinking and operational excellence.
You’ll have: Proven experience leading successful retail teams as a Store Manager or equivalent. A genuine passion for developing and coaching people. Strong commercial awareness with experience managing KPIs, sales and profitability. Excellent organisational and planning skills. Confidence making decisions and solving problems in a fast‐paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at every level. A hands‐on leadership style, leading from the shop floor and setting the standard every day. Flexibility to work across a retail rota, including weekends and peak trading periods.
