Are you a strategic, results-driven leader with a passion for retail excellence? As our Country Operations Lead, you will take the reins on managing and coordinating all country-level operational activities to drive peak business performance. Working closely with regional leadership, European peers, and key stakeholders, you’ll be accountable for upholding store standards, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. If you thrive on maximizing growth, empowering teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

Ensure all stores comply with operational standards, company policies, and procedures (GDPR).

Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations to ensure that they run efficiently

Ensure compliance with security and cash handling policies across all stores.

Enforce and adhere to the Company Health & Safety Policy in stores.

Loss control (stock management, theft control, disposal control)

Facility Management coordination

Use checklists as a tool to develop managers’ skills and ensure consistent store-level reporting to the Regional Manager (RM).

Provide visit reports on store performance to track progress on action plans and improvements.

2. Sales & Commercial Performance

Support the Regional Manager in managing the P&L within the allocated budget to drive profitable store performance.

Maintain an efficient staffing rota to optimize store operations and service levels.

Control and optimize the use of business and planning support

Identify underperforming stores and develop action plans to address operational challenges.

Ensure the store meets all operational and performance standards. The Country Operation Lead is expected and empowered to take necessary actions or sanctions if standards are not met.

Identify company issues and opportunities on business and raise suggestions

3. Team Development & Support

Regularly visit stores to provide on-the-ground support and training.

Train managers on MUJI standards and operational processes.

Oversee the implementation of induction programs for new employees and monitor ongoing training needs.

Communicate business and company objectives clearly to store managers, ensuring alignment with overall goals and targets.

Identify high-potential individuals for development and succession planning within the store management teams.

Foster a positive work environment to improve employee retention and reduce turnover.
