Summary

Are you an experienced retail leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development? MUJI is looking for a dynamic Area Manager to lead and inspire our UK store network.

In this role, you will act as the crucial link between our Regional Manager and store teams, driving sales, elevating customer experiences, and developing store leadership both on-site and remotely.


What You’ll Do

Drive Business Performance: Translate regional targets into concrete action plans to boost sales, profitability, and key retail KPIs across your store network.
Lead & Coach: Mentor, coach, and challenge Store Managers through a balance of hands-on floor presence and effective remote management.
Conduct Structured Store Visits: Perform regular visits to review commercial, operational, people, and customer experience standards, establishing clear development axes and action plans.
Uphold Operational Excellence: Oversee stock accuracy, cash control, shrinkage, and expense management to ensure high operational discipline across all stores.
Elevate the Brand: Guarantee top-tier customer service and flawless visual merchandising (VM) alignment across your area.
Strategic Reporting: Deliver structured performance insights, progress reports, and strategic recommendations to the Regional Manager.


What We’re Looking For

Retail Leadership Experience: Proven success in multi-site management or high-volume store management within a retail environment.
People Developer: Strong coaching ability with a track record of succession planning and performance management.
Operational Discipline: Sharp commercial sense with experience managing stock, expenses, and operational compliance.
Strong Communicator: Ability to set clear expectations, maintain accountability, and provide valuable field insights to senior management.
Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly across assigned stores.
